About Mr. & Mrs. P
Hi! Welcome to our page. Make yourself at home. We are Cristy and Michael Paez, the creators and writers behind the blog Mr. & Mrs. P Miami. As you can tell from the title of our page, we are a married couple from Miami, but there is a lot more to us than that.
We are self-taught cooks, do-it-yourselfers, gardeners, party planners, travelers, food photographers, chihuahua parents — and the list goes on and on. We began blogging in 2010, a year after we got married, as a hobby. At first, only our family read along, but the blog grew into something much bigger.
The heart of Mr. & Mrs. P is a shared love for food that brings people together. From cozy weeknight dinners to festive holiday treats, the recipes here are crafted with fresh ingredients and a healthy twist. Whether you are craving a warm bowl of chili, a light turkey wrap, or a batch of soft chocolate chip cookies, every dish is made to be enjoyed without fuss. The kitchen is a place for experimenting with flavors, using simple pantry staples like vanilla, cinnamon, and olive oil to create something delicious. It is about finding joy in the process, from measuring cups of flour to pulling a golden loaf from the oven.
This space is rooted in the everyday moments that make life special: a quiet Sunday morning with coffee, a fun lunch shared with friends, or a festive evening spent dipping pretzels in melted chocolate. The blog reflects a relaxed, family-friendly approach to cooking and entertaining, where perfection is less important than connection. Tips for healthier eating, lighter desserts, and creative party ideas are shared with warmth and honesty. It is a place where home cooks can feel confident trying something new, whether that is a stuffed pepper recipe or a simple fruit salad, knowing that every meal is an opportunity to gather and savor.
Beyond the kitchen, Mr. & Mrs. P celebrates a lifestyle of creativity and resourcefulness. Gardening, DIY projects, and thoughtful party planning all find a home here, inspired by the belief that small efforts can make a big difference. The recipes and ideas are designed to fit real life, with an emphasis on fresh produce, lean proteins, and balanced flavors that do not sacrifice taste. From lightened-up desserts to hearty weeknight bowls, the goal is to make every meal feel both nourishing and indulgent. This is a place where passion for food and family come together, one recipe at a time.
In August 2010, the Delicioso cooking show filmed a segment at our home, bringing our kitchen to television screens across South Florida.
Our story and recipes have been featured on our local NBC affiliate and in the River Cities Gazette.
We served as the couple's section contributors for Unique Me Magazine, sharing our perspective on food, marriage, and Miami life.
